Snowflake Release Cycle
urn:js:virtue:aspire:standard:17.1
TL;DR
Changes to the Snowflake platform will be announced with 3 months notice, before being implemented. Documentation will be provided describing the actions required. Notifications will be sent to all Snowflake Users via their registered user email.
Definition
- 3-months notice will be provided for changes affecting users of the Sainsbury’s Snowflake platform.
- Communications will (at minimum) be provided to all users with an email address registered against an active user within Snowflake
- The change, (anticipated) affected parties, and required actions will be clearly documented here
- At the end of the notice period, all remaining users of the feature will be deemed as “Out of Support”. This will be regardless of the issue being encountered - no debugging will occur if the user is deemed to be using Out of Support features.
- Where possible, Snowflake ‘Views’ will be provided which indicate whether a user is believed to be using unsupported features
- Once all users have migrated away from the specified feature, it will be dropped
