Rational

Avoid inconsistencies of use of data and management by teams where business logic is in reporting tools

Implications

• Whenever anyone considers making a variant of a metric in MicroStrategy, then need to get it added to the ADW presentation layer instead
• Direct SQL access to ADW gives access to data with the same definitions as via a reporting tool
